Infrastructure:

The ground Floor

The library serves as a dynamic resource center catering to learners of all ages, including adults from the public. Supported by the invaluable contributions of AFK, The Michael and Karen Schley Foundation and other partners, the library offers a diverse collection of reading materials, both for reference and lending out. During school holidays, it buzzes with activity, providing a haven for learners lacking conducive reading spaces at home. It also offers indoor reading spaces and the tranquil Dream Gardens for outdoor reading. The ground floor also offers a computer room where we expose the community to computer skills. Our key clients are the pre-secondary school students preparing to join institutions of higher learning.

The 1st Floor

Housing a restaurant and a multipurpose meeting room/conference hall, strictly reserved for educational activities. The restaurant serves as a vital dining option for visitors, promoting cultural exchange through culinary experiences. Life skills meetings, medical staff training, and various activities for Kongoni Network Schools are hosted here,
including book clubs and math camps. The restaurant also serves as a practical learning environment for home science students, equipped with specialized hospitality books received from AFK.

The 2nd Floor

Comprising 8 rooms providing accommodation for facilitators, volunteers, special guests and underprivileged girls from network schools during school holidays. We also offer basic camping. This fosters interaction among diverse backgrounds and provides mentoring opportunities. Additionally, home science students benefit from exposure to housekeeping techniques.

The Rooftop

A versatile space ideal for outdoor meals and meetings, enhancing the
center’s multifunctional capabilities.
